US Student Visa
One of Easiest way to get a visa to US is Student visa. Every year, hundreds of thousands of people goes to the U.S.A in pursuit of higher studies to further their careers towards diverse goals. In 2006-2007 there were around 10 lakhs foreign students studying the US.
Admission:
Admission to a U.S.A. college or University can be competitive, due to the quality of education, its cutting edge technology, the diversity of options in and after studies, the availability of scholarships and of life as you want it to be.
While selecting a university, one should keep in mind their GRE/GMAT/SAT/TOEFL scores. These scores are not the only criteria for admission. Universities look into many aspects such as academics, work experience, extra-curricular activities, recommendations, statement of purpose and essays. The overall profile results in the final decision of admissions and scholarships.
For admission to any intake it is advisable to start procedures well in advance. Documentation process generally takes around 4-6 weeks. Once the student applies to universities, they take around 1-2 months to get the decision.

1. Appointment letter:

IC or Passport:
IC (yellow book) is the Identify certificate issue for the Tibetan refugee by the Indian Government or valid Passport.
2. I-20:
I-20 is the conformation of admission that is provide to the student by the US university.
3. TOEFL:
Test of English as a Foreign Language test is the test is the most widely accepted English language test in the world. The TOEFL measures skills in reading, speaking, Listening and writing.
TOEFL test has 120 marks and sub-divided into:
Reading: 30 marks
Speaking: 30 marks
Listening: 30 marks
Writing: 30 marks
The fee for writing TOEFL test is 165 US dollar and you can register only through credit card. You can give the TOEFL many times you want, however you have to pay that 150 US dollar per test. For safer side, it is better to register for TOEFL test before 1 month from the test date.
For Tibetan students, before registering TOEFL test with any center in India. Ask these center whether they accept the RC or IC as some test centers are not accepting these document as ID proof. It is better if you can go to these test centers in your city and ask them about the ID proof that they accept.

You can also give IELTS instead of TOEFL. IELTS is the International English Language Testing System. It measures ability to communicate in English across all four language skills such as Listening, speaking, listening and writing.

SAT:
SAT (Scholastic Aptitude Test and Scholastic Assessment Test) is a standardized test for college admissions (undergraduate) in the United States.
SAT measure your ability in Critical Reading, Mathematics and Writing.

GRE:
GRE General:
GRE General (Graduate Record Examinations) measures verbal reasoning, quantitative reasoning, and critical thinking and analytical writing skills. GRE is necessary for admission in Graduate or Master in United states.
GRE Subject: Ph.D.
GRE Subject gauge undergraduate in 8 specific fields of study.
